The main purpose is to conduct a series of annual all-week spring schools on advanced empirical research methods. The training covers design issues, statistical models, and their application in software packages like R and Mplus. The number of participants is limited to 25 and the working language is English. We aim to bring together European emerging researchers from the field of educational effectiveness research, train them on methodological topics and promote the exchange of knowledge among them. Thus, the project will foster European educational research by enabling the participants to benefit from an extended methodological repertoire as well as from collaborations and discussions during the spring school. Additionally, they are encouraged to build ongoing networks. In the long run, the participating researchers will spread their gained knowledge in their respective home universities and research contexts.
